We are pleased to announce that the „Hope for Mundial” Association received the UEFA Foundation for Children Award! This prize is awarded every year to nearly 20 European non-government organizations that deal with football, working mainly for children. Our Association was nominated for the prize thanks to the Polish Football Association, and UEFA decided to award our work for children from care homes.

– We had no doubt that this was the right candidate. „Hope for Mundial” has been thriving for several years and proves that football means not only matches, results and cups, but is also a tool for social integration and part of life where there is space for everyone – said about us Maciej Sawicki, Secretary General of Polish Football Association.

Sylwester Trześniewski, president of the „Hope for Mundial” Association added: 
– When in 2010 we organized the first Polish Championships of Children from Care Homes, in most institutions there was one ball, and the children went out to “kick” it in front of the building. Today, in Poland and worldwide, several thousand children from care homes regularly train football, and over 10,000 children from childcare centers from 44 countries took part in our tournaments. The UEFA Foundation award is a great joy and honor for us, but above all confirmation that football can really change the lives and future of children from care homes.

We are extremely touched and proud and we would like to thank UEFA on behalf of thousands of children from care homes around the world, who have participated in our tournaments so far, for the fact that such a large, global organization appreciated the efforts that all our “football family” puts into preparation of the tournaments. Because while we’re working on their organization, hundreds of children in care homes around the world are training hard to play at the highest level possible. This award for us and for them – for our joint work, passion and love of football. Thank you!
