How is that possible? Our flag was carried to the Nepalese Himalayas by Ang Dawa Sherpa, a 24-year-old Nepali who took part in the 6th Football World Cup of Children from Care Homes in Warsaw in 2018!!!

Today, Ang works as a high-altitude guide and carried the “Hope for Mundial” flag to the summit of Lobuche East. It is one of the most famous peaks over 6,000 meters in the Himalayas, with a view of nearby Mount Everest!

“I grew up my entire life in Sertshang Orphanage Home (SOH), Kathmandu, Nepal – a place that shaped my values, supported my growth, and gave me a foundation for the life I am building today.

Thanks to it, I represented Nepal in the 6th Edition of Hope for Mundial in 2018. It remains one of the most memorable experiences of my life. Being part of a global event, meeting children from so many countries, and carrying Nepal’s pride onto the field gave me confidence and hope.

The highlight for me was simply stepping onto the pitch – it made me realize that opportunities can change someone’s entire perspective. That moment has stayed with me and continues to guide me even today”.
