The 8th World Championships are already behind us, so let’s once again trace the path to the success of this year’s World Champions.
Belgium left the group stage with COMPLETE POINTS, defeating: Montenegro 10:1, Hungary 2:0, North Macedonia 7:0, Slovakia 3:0 and Thailand 6:2
In the 1/8 finals they won 9:2 against the Portuguese national team.
In the quarterfinals, they faced a very strong Ukraine, which they defeated 3-2 after an exciting match and a series of PENALTIES.
In the semi-final they faced Poland. In regular time the score was 0-0, so a series of PENALTY SHOT was needed to select the finalist! In it, thanks to the great performance of the goalkeeper, the BELGIUM national team turned out to be better.
They faced Uzbekistan in the grand final of the Championship. During the entire match, only one goal was scored, which determined who lifted the GOLD CUP. It was scored by Belgium from a free kick.
Belgium also received 2 individual awards! The top scorer was BAABIA DEAM, and the best goalkeeper of the tournament was JERKO CLAESSENS.
