The end of the year 2018 is nearing – another year that brought us the honor and great joy of hosting in Poland children from 27 different countries: France, Russia, Jordan, Hungary, Ukraine, Portugal, Japan, Nepal, Belarus, Serbia, Lithuania, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia, Poland, Macedonia, the Netherlands, Germany, Vietnam, Estonia, Latvia, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Spain, Palestine and Croatia.
Nearly 270 participants took part in 6th World Cup of Children from Care Homes in July. In this two-day event 92 matches were played and 401 goals were scored – 397 of them in the group phase, and 22 in the cup phase. The World Champions are – for the first time in the history of the Cup – the team from Ukraine. Silver medals went to the Netherlands’ team. For the third time Poland won bronze. During these two incredible days on Warsaw’s Legia Stadium a wonderful world was created. A world where football is at the core, with shared joy, endless fun and friendship that overlooks divisions and differences.
All of this would not have been possible without the support of many institutions, organizations, companies and people of good will. Therefore we again give many thanks to all of you who made it possible:
