In April this year, we shared the story of Ang Dawa Sherpa, a participant of the 4th World Cup of Children from Care Homes, who now works as a high-altitude mountain guide in the Himalayas.

We have another fantastic piece of news – on September 3rd, Ang sets off on an expedition to Manaslu – the 8th highest peak in the world, standing at 8,163 meters above sea level !

Ang called this trip the “Summit of Gratitude.” As he says himself:

“This expedition is about more than reaching a summit. It is an act of gratitude to the people, communities and supporters who helped shaped a life.”
