Happy New Year 2026 on behalf of the “Hope for Mundial” Association to all players, coaches, guardians, fans and volunteers who have been organizing the World Cup of Children from Care Homes in Football together with us for over 10 years!
We wish you all the best—and most importantly, let playing football bring you lots of satisfaction! Through football, we discover our true character—often uncovering traits we didn’t know we had. The game teaches us focus, teamwork, and the thrill of victory. It also humbles us, teaching us how to handle defeat and learn from our mistakes.
As we all know, both the FIFA World Cup and the UEFA European Football Championship are held every four years, which boosts their prestige. Therefore, we have decided that from now on, the World Cup of Children from Care Homes in Football will be held every two years. Despite our Association providing financial support to the teams, many have shared with us that organizing a trip to Poland every single year is not possible. Having that in mind, we believe it is more appropriate for our tournament to be held every two years.
Over the years, thousands of players have passed through our tournament. Many of them, although now grown adult athletes, asked us to organize a tournament, where they could also participate. We are thrilled to announce that we are planning to organize the World Cup of Former Residents of Care Homes in 2027.
We would like to offer an opportunity to all teams from across the world to participate in the World Cup of Children from Care Homes in Football, regardless of their financial situation or potential visa challenges. We will organize the 11th World Cup of Children from Care Homes in 2027, and we are sure that many teams from across the world will participate in the tournament. We look forward to seeing you all in 2027. Let’s create another unforgettable celebration of football!
