Very soon, on the weekend of July 28-29, the Legia Warsaw Stadium will turn into a home of a huge international football family. Its pitch will be filled with more than 200 players coming from several dozen of countries, who will participate in the 6th Football World Cup of Children from Care Homes.
Tens of care centres scattered across the globe are already in intensive preparations for the big day. Also training hard? Our Polish national team consisting of the best players selected during the 9th Championships of Poland of Children from Care Homes. The team captain, Dominik Dziąbek from Sternik Szczecin, is determined to give his and his team’s best to reach for the gold this year. We, of course, are rooting for them, as well as for every other team coming to Poland this summer to compete. As for now, we will be hosting teams from Thailand, Egypt, Japan, Palestine, Vietnam, Germany, Spain, Russia, The Netherlands, and many more to be announced. The tremendous potential within our participants has recently been documented on one of the YouTube channels – Turbokozak.
In which you can watch the Polish team captain Dominik Dziąbek’s performance. Dominik took eighth place in final classification this season and has set a new record in rugby ball juggling!
One thing is certain, just like every year, those who will come to the Legia Warsaw Stadium in July will witness an exhilarating display of football competition, passion, laughter, and unimaginable amount of joy radiating from our participants from care facilities.
