Five years ago we organized first World Cup of Children from Care Homes. It was an unforgettable event where all of you showed what it really means to love football, how many feelings you have and how finely you can integrate and make friends even if you live thousands of kilometers from each other. I am convinced that in these fifth jubilee championship you will create an unforgettable atmosphere that you will take to your mother countries. This year, the coach of the Polish national team is Krzysztof Kot, who won the gold medal at the first World Cup in 2013. I had a great pleasure listening to his story of how he stood on the pitch before the final game with the national team and listened to the anthem of his country. He was proud to represent his homeland and told us, that he had never experienced such emotion. This year he will urge his players to experience same thing – being proud of representing their country. We know that this year in the World Cup there will be competing tems of Japan, Estonia, Hungary, Thailand, Vietnam, Serbia, Holland, Russia, Germany, Spain, Jordan, Slovakia, Slovenia, Lithuania, Ireland, Ukraine, France, Croatia and many others.

We are waiting for you in Poland on July 15th. I am convinced that you will create a great football festival and also show how children from all over the world – although they speak different languages ​​and have different skin colors – can enjoy, play and compete fair play. See you in Poland!
